Feather edge boards are mainly used in the construction of closeboard fencing.
Made using treated timber that has been sawn at an angle. The term feather edge refers to the shape of the board which is thinner down one side than the other. When using these feather edge boards for closeboard fencing, they are arranged vertically along timber rails.
Sometimes feather edge is used for cladding buildings like sheds. This gives a building an attractive appearance and conserves heat during the winter.
