    • Long throw lock
    • Anti-rattle keep
    • Two spindle options for different gate thicknesses

Set Your Access Code

Before fitting the lock, set your preferred access code using the supplied code change tool.

  • Insert the code change tool into the tumblers for the numbers you want to use.
  • Turn the selected tumblers so the U-shaped section faces upwards.
  • Tumblers left with the U-shape facing downwards remain un-coded.
  • Once the code is set, press the C button and enter your chosen code to test it.
  • Check the lock operates correctly before continuing with installation.

Position the Drilling Template

  • Peel off the backing and position the supplied drilling template on the gate.
  • Make sure the lock is sitting level and at a comfortable operating height.
  • Check that the long throw bolt will line up correctly with the gate post and anti-rattle keep.
  • Mark all hole positions clearly before removing the template.
  • Double-check the alignment before drilling.

Drill the Gate

  • Drill the four outer fixing holes using the supplied 8mm wood drill bit.
  • Drill the centre spindle hole using the supplied 35mm spade bit.
  • Keep the drill straight and level as you work through the gate.
  • Accurate drilling is important so the front and rear lock mechanisms line up correctly.
  • Take your time and check the holes before fitting the lock.

Fit the Lock

  • Place the front digital lock body and rear long throw lock on opposite sides of the gate.
  • Make sure the rubber seal/back plate is correctly positioned between the lock and the timber.
  • Fit the correct spindle for your gate thickness.
  • Insert the spring and make sure the spindle engages properly with the rear locking mechanism.
  • Line up the lock with the pre-drilled holes.
  • Secure both sides together using the supplied machine screws.
  • Tighten evenly and check the lock operates smoothly before moving on.

Fit the Anti-Rattle Keep

  • Close the gate and extend the long throw bolt so you can accurately position the keep on the gate post.
  • Align the anti-rattle keep so the bolt enters cleanly and fully when the gate is closed.
  • Mark the fixing positions.
  • Use the supplied 3.5mm wood drill bit to drill pilot holes.
  • Do not drill all the way through the gate post.
  • Secure the keep using the supplied wood screws.
  • Open and close the gate several times to check the bolt moves freely and the gate is held firmly without excessive movement.

Test the Lock

  • Close the gate and enter your chosen access code.
  • Check that the 65mm long throw bolt moves smoothly into and out of the anti-rattle keep.
  • Open and close the gate several times to make sure everything remains correctly aligned.
  • Confirm the gate is held firmly when locked and that the anti-rattle keep reduces unwanted movement.
  • Check all fixings are secure, but avoid overtightening.
  • If the lock feels stiff or does not engage cleanly, re-check the alignment before regular use.
